Oguni Jinja in Mori, Shizuoka Prefecture, is regarded as the ichinomiya (chief shrine) of the ancient Totomi Province, with a founding tradition dating to 555 CE. Enshrining Okuninushi-no-Mikoto, the shrine has long served as a regional spiritual center for Totomi's farming and fishing communities. The shrine retains a collection of imperial patronage records and Sengoku-period dedications from local warlords.
