As such, Sarutahiko is revered as the divine guide who shows the way on all paths in life. The shrine also enshrines Ame-no-Uzume-no-Mikoto, the goddess of performing arts who famously danced to lure Amaterasu from the heavenly cave. She is the wife of Sarutahiko in mythology.
