The shrine's dramatic Kamiiso-no-Torii gate stands on rocks in the Pacific Ocean, making it one of the most photogenic shrines in the Kanto region, especially at sunrise. Rebuilt by Tokugawa Mitsukuni (the model for the legendary Mito Komon).
